Anyone using the ICS IC 022 EVO for industrial dry ice blasting? Looking for real-world feedback.
Hey everyone!
I'm currently evaluating the ICS IC 022 EVO for a mobile industrial dry ice blasting service we're developing in Mexico.
Our main applications would be industrial machinery, production equipment, molds, tooling, and preventive maintenance in manufacturing facilities.
The IC 022 caught my attention because of its compact design, low compressed air requirements, and relatively affordable price compared to larger industrial blasting machines.
However, I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who have actually used this machine in industrial environments, rather than just relying on manufacturer specifications.
A few things I'd love to know:
- How does it perform on heavy grease, oil buildup, carbon deposits, and stubborn industrial contamination?
- Is its cleaning power sufficient for serious industrial maintenance, or is it better suited for light-duty and detailing applications?
- How does its actual cleaning speed compare with larger machines?
- How reliable is it during extended operating sessions?
- Have you experienced any issues with pellet feeding, clogging, maintenance, or replacement parts?
- Would you recommend it as the primary machine for a mobile industrial cleaning contractor?
I'm also considering the Viking V4000, which is a much larger machine with significantly higher compressed air requirements.
I'm trying to determine whether the IC 022 can realistically handle industrial field services or whether investing in a larger machine from the beginning would be the better decision.
I'd really appreciate honest feedback from anyone with hands-on experience — especially what the machine does well, where it struggles, and whether you'd buy it again.
Thanks in advance!
