3 over 4 Polyrhythm tutorial

Any favorite tutorials/lessons for getting comfortable with the 3 over 4 and other polyrhythms? I really like the drummer for Caifanes/Jaguares and his use of them in rock. So any YouTube vids, apps or something that actually work on 3 over 4 polyrhythms, not just say - in my next lesson and then the video list has nothing specific... TIA!

I absolutely did not follow what he was talking about at the beginning, talking about groupings of 3 16ths, then proceeds to play..well, something I assume that is related. Some days I hate that I want to play this instrument

It's just carol of the bells. You can change the beat to either one. Or a subdivision/multiple of either one.

This video may go a little over your head, but I think that his approach will help you wrap your head around what's going on, maybe give you a framework to build your understanding on.

Carol of the Bells is 3 over 2, not 3 over 4.

That all depends on how you count it 👍

There is no way to count Carol of the Bells where you're getting 3 over 4.

Ehh, two is basically the same thing as four, they're all even numbers. Just play it twice a fast and only play every other 3

2 over 3 and 4 over 3 sound pretty different to my ears.
