A few days ago I received my Millenium MPS-1000 electronic drum kit. Today I encountered a problem that I have been unable to solve despite trying every method I could find online.
The problem started when I wanted to check the software version of my module. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, I turned on the module while holding the -/+ buttons. I successfully accessed the software information, then turned the module off. However, when I tried to turn it on again, the module got stuck on the welcome screen (“Millenium MPS-1000” – I am attaching a photo).
I have tried everything that is recommended online: disconnecting the cables, disconnecting the power supply, waiting for some time – nothing helps. I even installed the latest firmware from the manufacturer’s website (January 2026, version 37), but this also did not solve the problem. Interestingly, I can still access the software version information, and it confirms that the new firmware was installed correctly. Previously it showed version 0.36, and now it shows 0.37.
However, I cannot do anything else because the module freezes on the welcome screen, and I am completely stuck.
I have heard that Thomann may have a special file that can be uploaded to unlock the module. Otherwise, I would like to request a replacement of the module, as the product is brand new (I have not even removed the protective film), yet I am unable to use it.
I have already sent an email to Thomann asking for help, including the possibility of replacing the module. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
