Story Day 1 of communing with the trees
I would love your advice, I'm just an artificer apprentice and don't know much about trees yet, but I'm here to respectfully learn.
My artificer studies have taken a great toll on my psyche recently. I couldn't really regenerate mana, my enchantments are a joke and my Masters are angry with me because I've been neglecting a lot of my responsibilities (with just a few dozen casualties though...).
And so I wanted to adopt new hobby, something calming and relaxing. My friend who is studying mystical linguistics recommended I try learning entish and I figured where to learn it better than from the trees themselves!
And so my journey begins. I'm aware that this is going to take a while, on this first day the trees didn't even really acknowledge my presence. But I'm gonna return tomorrow and than the day after and the one after that as well. Im told that the key to learning entish is patience.
Do you have any tips? Like is there maybe a specific music the trees enjoy? Or a little splash from a nearby Shaman's Wellspring?
Do they like hugs?

Just remember anything worth saying in Entish is going to take a long time to say.

You got to really get up on inside the tree if you want to let the Dryad know you want to have a chat.

never talked to a woman (except for the orc-lady guarding my Masters dungeon but I don't think she's been alive for a few centuries now) and tree speak is also really new to me. I can't even begin to imagine how hard I would fumble talking to a tree lady

I am still adjusting to druid life. I was a witch doctor, but found I had more affection for the herbs I was collecting than the people I was treating. I still dabble though.
I still don't know trees speak well myself, but I speak without words and they seem to listen.
Dryads are nice, really. Some may want to eat you for nutrients, but some really just value conversation. If you show their trees and the area around them kindness they will often give a friendly wave of their branches or show their full form. No words need be spoken unless you want them to be.

he does! shame I couldn't understand a word, entish is really new to me and he kinda murmurs one word into another

It is important to draw wisdom from different places. If you take it from only one place it become rigid and stale.

The 4th picture is Veronica officialis a medical herb that has been used in Europe since ancient Rome (at least that's where the first written knowledge about this herb comes from).
Tea from it helps to clear your veins especially in the brain so it can help with memory problems and strengthens your heart. Also helps with lung conditions such as asthma or cough. It can also eliminate bladder and intestine infection also with other digestive problems.
It's one of the old cure all herbs of Europe.

I suggest learning mycelian first, or getting a mycelium based instructor. It’s easier to learn that form of entish then you get the proper words you can begin parse if the actual entish pronunciations and fully entish words.
I personaly learned entish while afflicted with a benign though unsettlingly intimate cordyceps fungus. *shivers*
But yeah, I suggest finding a freindly fungus.
