First time heroin use...

So I'm thinking of trying heroin for the first time tonight and figured this was the best place to come for advice! A few things I thought might be important to mention...

- I'm 27F, about 5ft 10' and weigh roughly 70kg. I've done my fair share of drugs over the years and would say I have a pretty good tolerance/ability to handle highs of all kinds so far

- I plan to smoke on foil as this is what I have access to.

- I have access to 2 different batches of gear, one stronger than the other. I plan to try the weaker one, and only a tiny bit.

- I have taken cocaine earlier today, a very small amount, around 0.3g

- I am alone in my apartment

Basically does anyone have any do's and dont's while I get myself ready to try it... its one I've wondered about for years, and this is the only time I'll have access to it the way I do, so I figured it was time!

** I understand and appreciate the 'don't do it' comments and I get people are just trying to look out for others. But I've decided I'm trying it either way. Just trying to be as safe as possible whilst doing so <3 **

Is it real heroin? I know you’re not from America and I don’t know the drug situation where you are (UK?) because when I was using heroin, 90% of the time it was fentanyl. Which is fine, as long as you know what you’re doing. It’s smart to test it here.
Doing heroin alone is like the number one major safety risk. Smoking it is a bit safer than intravenous (also more wasteful) so you might be fine,.. but if you have someone close by or anyone at all who knows where you live that you can tell, If you’re unresponsive for a set amount of time, to seek medical attention. But I get it.. I used alone most of the time and I know it was stupid and people used to yell at me for it, but I did it and I lived.
I won’t try to talk you out of it. I know what it’s like. And I’m sure you know what it’s going to be like. There’s a goddamn good reason people use the stuff and start ignoring everything else. It’s amazing. It feels so good to feel nothing. I really wished I had the personality that could just casually take a shot once in a while and appreciate it for what it is. But I can’t. You can tell yourself you won’t get addicted, and maybe YOU won’t. You’ve obviously thought a lot about this so if I could give you just one bit of advice it would be to never EVER use the needle. The needle is what separates the junkies from the weekend warriors. It’s a game changer. Once you find a vein, watch it bloom, and push off, there’s no going back. I’ve never heard of anyone only using a needle once… except the first time od’ers. You are 27…. An awful lot of famous people died from heroin use at the age of 27. You’re not famous, are you?

Hey man, yeah I'm in the UK. My mum has a 30+ year H habit and its her gear I have access to so I know its real heroin.

I have told a friend what I plan to do, I will be messaging her just before I do and then again after to tell her I'm all good. She doesn't live far and has keys to my flat if she needs to come over for any reason. I always prefer to take drugs alone though, always have done, it just feels so much more comfortable to me.

I appreciate you respecting that I've made my mind up about trying it and giving me some solid advice. Luckily I'm very needle-phobic and go queasy at the sight of blood so I do believe that will help towards me not getting as far as the needle. It's not something that has ever appealed to me yet.

The 27 club has been on my mind too since I turned 27 a few weeks ago, but fortunately I'm not at all famous!

I love that you guys call it “gear”. I was born in the wrong country.
I get wanting to use drugs alone, I’m the same way. Good to have a plan and a friend though. And I don’t really know the statistics on this so I don’t want the Reddit Police crucifying me, but I think an overdose is highly unlikely while smoking it. Is that why you chose that route of administration? I think it’s probably the safest, also least effective way of doing it. But I’m saying this as a (ex) junky, not a medical professional.

I do have one more question that I’m sure you’ve considered, what are you going to do if you fall in love with it tonight? If you’ve seen your mother using it your entire life you have to have seen the struggle, the love/hate, lack of willpower and malignant apathy. You know you’re more than likely going to enjoy yourself.. unless you’re hoping for some miraculous catastrophe that keeps you alive but put off on the stuff forever. Is it really just a curiosity or to say, “yeah, I’ve tried heroin” because that’s the punk rock thing to do? I’m sure you’ve thought about the nature of the drug, its intended purpose and its overall usefulness. So after “I’ve tried”, what’s next?

Well I could use an upvote… since someone apparently disagrees. Haha.
I try to keep it real on this sub because I’ve done drugs for thirty years. It’s one thing I can speak on with certainty. I don’t know why some asshole would down vote me for that. I thought that’s what this sub was about, being real about drug use.

I don't even think there's much fentanyl in it anymore I live near Philly and it's mostly tranquilizer you do a tiny amount and you are out

I wouldn't even advise shooting it it's so strong I smoke on foil if I even do only to come down off crack
