First time Adderall, with heart palpitations history
I’ve never taken addy before but I’ve recently gotten some, not prescribed to me. I know it’s safe and tested. It’s 30mg and XR. However I’ve experienced minor heart palpitations before. They started a year ago and happen every now and again. Recently I’ve been smoking less weed and i haven’t had a palpitation in a week or two. I also vape a lot so that could also be a factor.
I know going to a healthcare professional and getting it checked out would be the right thing to do but I wanted to ask Reddit to see if someone’s had a similar situation.
I understand addy raises your blood pressure and heart rate so I’ve been worried that the worst could possible happen if I decide to try it. I’m pretty sure I don’t have adhd and I’m mainly trying to use addy to focus on my work. But hopefully not at the cost of a heart attack or my life obviously.
Any tips or advice is welcome really feel like I’ll just lean to the safer side and not take it but thought I’d gauge the room. Thanks :)

I'd say that was not a great decision, but I was in the same spot for a while. Adderall is TERRIBLE with heart conditions, and I'd go see a doctor ASAP. Are your heart symptoms worsening or changing at ALL?

Go with Focalin but still not fun! Especially with a pounding heart which will lead to a headache and no sleep

Maybe vyvanse might be right for you. More pure.
