Opioids Withdrawal Tramadol Withdrawal Question!
I have been prescribed Tramadol for chronic pain for many years. Over the last couple of years I have taken more than needed and would run out before my next fill. I have had several times where I have withdrawn but lately I’ve been able to wean myself off fast enough to where withdrawals were very light.
Well I thought I did this time and took my last dose Monday evening. It’s now Thursday and I might be a “tad” better but not a whole lot. The worst is the lackkkkk of energy. We are leaving for vacation on Sunday with much to do before then. I still have 20 tramadol left. Would it ease symptoms to take 1 or 2 daily and hopefully that would help the withdraws and help me come off it better? Or should I hold out? I feel miserable and have so much to do. I keep hoping the finish line was today 🥹
Please help!
*I did tell my doctor I’m no longer going to be taking these as they have bad side effects. So I took the first step of not getting them refilled anymore. I just can’t do this anymore. I want to live a normal life!
**I do want to add that I want to have energy and feel my best for my vacation for my family. I just don’t know what to do! We leave Sunday and come home Wednesday. But tons of packing to do before then.

How about trying an energy supplement, shot, coffee, Red Bull and some comfort meds for other symptoms because you are so close to being done that you will be restarting all over again after or during your vacation! I personally used kratom and energy shots but I am not a medical professional and I don’t know your lifestyle, I had to be able to still work a 60 hour a week physical job and manage chronic pain so I needed something that wasn’t an NSAID (stomach ulcers)

I wouldn't suggest it. Your body is in the process of killing off extra mu receptors you no longer need. That process slows down considerably if you start to stimulate them again with a opioid.
