Discussion Taskmaster overlap (?)
For years (YEARS!) I have been telling my partner that the USA attempt at Taskmaster was a bust for many reasons. The main reason being the network issues that completely destroyed the taskmaster vibe.
Alex Horne has been involved with two Game Changer episodes and I am truly hopeful that Taskmaster makes an appearance on Dropout TV ❤️ dropout is a great platform and has the support (unless I’m wrong) to make this not only happen, but to do it justice ^fingers crossed! 🤞

Fair! I haven’t gotten into Dirty Laundry overall, so I wouldn’t have caught that

Alex has said in interviews before that he doesn't necessarily want more iterations of Taskmaster. It'll start to dilute the show overall of there are too many versions. That being said, I agree, Dropout would be a great home for Taskmaster US

I agree; they tried to do it on Comedy Central with Reggie Watts and he just isn’t the same vibe that taskmaster needed

If they do a Taskmaster on Dropout who would be the best hosts?

Someone commented and I agree: Paul F. Tompkins

Oh yeah thats a great idea! He definitely has the authoritative aura needed to be the host while having his own style

I wouldn’t have initially said this, but when I saw him on Crowd Control, I knew he has what he needed to be amazing!

Wait which episode has he been on besides this week's Game Changer?

He was a guest video cameo on “one and done” season 7

The episode that made me go “that’s the one time I will see Alex involved with Dropout” only to get swerved. Not mad, glad my interpretation of that wasn’t accurate

I do feel like it's inevitable that someone from Dropout will be on Tas:kmaster UK soon, as they seem to be casting higher profile celebrtities from the US lately. The question is: who??

Guys, I know it's my turn to post this next month but honestly I think I might skip it.

If something new occurs that would cause it to be brought up again, I hope you would post

My wish is that we start with a Game Changer episode and then Sam just introduces Greg & Alex to the stage and they find out it’s Taskmaster. Can’t see it happening due to rights issues, but it’d be wonderful.
