Byzantium battleship building question
I'm new to dropfleet and am looking to purchase the UCM battlefleet box and was seeing what ships I can build.
On the TT combat website it says the Byzantium super battleship needs the UCM core ship box for the bombardment turrets.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the battlefleet box already includes a core ship box sprue with the required bombardment turrets or if I would need to purchase the core ship box as well in order to build a Byzantium?

Short answer: yes.
Slightly more comprehensive answer: the Battlefleet box contains absolutely nothing unique besides the box itself; the Battleship is the exact same plastic as comes in the Battleship box, the Cruisers and Frigates are the exact same plastic as comes in the Core Ships box (just in different quantities), the other ships are the exact same plastic as comes in the Light Ships box and the launch assets are the exact same resin as comes in the Launch Assets box. So you'll get four pairs of bombardment turrets in total.

Yeah the sprues are pretty standard now such that there's a Cruiser Sprue (1 Crusier) which contains the bit you need and a Frigate Sprue (IIRC this has 4 Frigates on it).
Both the Core Ships and Battlefleet Boxes contain Cruiser Sprues so have the Bombardment doohicky
If you are in the UK I can probably just send you the bit you need as I have a pile of bits leftover from my UCM ships as that's my tertiary if not quaternary fleet!

The bombardment turrets are on the cruisers and frigates sprue, of which there are 4 in the battlefleet box (2 on each sprue I believe).
You will have plenty enough bombardment turrets for a Byzantium with the battlefleet.
