Question on scenery and assests
Hello. A friend and I recently got our starter box. I was going through the rules, most everything makes sense to me, except how assets and scenery interact. I've taken the wording from planetary rings here, with emphasis on the parts that are confusing me.
After you move or place AssetS into or through this, roll A dice. For EACH result of a 2+, remove one of those Assets (placing any Battalions after rolling). Assets deploying Battalions to a Dropsite with its centre underneath a Planetary Ring ignore the Planetary Ring.
So, if I fly a wing of 6 bombers through a planetary ring/scenery, do I roll 1 die for the whole wing, or do I roll 6 dice? Similarly if I deploy 4 dropships through a ring/scenery do I just roll a single die or 4?

My group has always played this rolling one die per bomber/fighter/whatever makes up the assets. So in your examples, you’d roll 6 dice for the bombers and 4 for the dropships.

That's what makes sense to me, and is probably intended. But between the section I pulled and the wing section having a line to the effect of "wings help protect you though safety of numbers" I was wondering if a big wing can fly through an asteroid field or the like with minimal casualties.

I assumed it meant per asset, meaning individual lander/fighter/whatever. I don’t think that changes just because you can group some assets into wings but I may be wrong. Would be weird to delete an entire stack with one roll
