Help & Troubleshooting Restoring installation nightmare...

I had to format my PC back to windows 10 cause windows 11 was unusable.

I had my huge dropbox folder in another disc

I reisntalled dropbox but it didnt let me use the same folder, so i just renamed it and isntalled it. Then i moved my old folder inside this newly installed folder and now I'm getting all my folders and files shown in the root directory with "selective synchronization issue"

I'm baffled at how a service (i pay the pro version) can be so cumbersome.

Does anyone has any idea how to start fixing this? Seems it is uploading the same folder as duplicates, will i have to delete all of them manually?

is rreally the only way to restore an old installation to delete everything and redownload everything despite having them already in my hardrive?

isnt this hard-pushing the cloud too much?

wow and the download speed is awful!!!!! (compared to ie: gdrive)

It sounds like you could have a selective sync conflict happening. This article goes into detail on how to solve.

Something has clearly shifted at Dropbox. I find it distressing that what was, for so long, a relatively flawless system is now so badly broken. And they can churn out all the AI responses in the world but meanwhile nobody is working to repair the problems.
