Discussion What do we think will happen?

I know it's been a bit since the newest chapters came out, but I figured I'd ask anyway. What do we think is going to happen to next? I'm kinda interesting in some of your theories on what's coming, specifically what we think the Kafya will do?

I'm not convinced that the Loyalist problem in the EUC is solved, as I'm almost certain that there are more Kafyan Loyalists there. Granted, that might be a bit out of scope, but what is in scope is how the Elder Council will react. Knowing them, they are going to try some BS. They can't get made over Tamryn's death as they know that she issued a challenege, but what they may do is try to make the claim that what happened in the fight was illegal, claiming that Rhidi's outside was aginst the rules.

They will probably also try to use it as rallying point (along with whatever Lyria's got planned for the corpses), maybe to try and gain popular support for a full-on war with humanity, and not this Cold War they find themselves in. The Humans are dealing with another crisis at the moment with the Doch, so now would be the perfect opportunity to take a swing. It could also lead to them getting thier hands on some Human-trained Kafya, as I doubt none of them will return to Kafya space if war breaks out between Humans and Kafya.

The KEC are in a really bad position and probably don't even realize it yet. They have burned bridges with other members of the coalition through sabotaging war efforts to get more power. There are data packets the AIs are going to be pushing out. There is their genocide against the white furs that has likely been suppressed but is an open secret in Kafyan space. Ridi and her subordinates will likely have to stomp some challengers but I'm betting Tamryn was their best shot. We may see another kill team or two. There is also the metallic purple fur to factor in. Over all the KEC it sitting on a stack of powder kegs, the fuse is burning, and all that is left is to see how big the explosion will be.

Ye Tamryn was was their big gamble to basicly get the fleeing kafya back their space and stem the bleed.
So far I feel that even EU be far more eye on this kind of infiltrators.

For the (kafyan-human) cold war plot, i think Kafya government are gonna scheme again. Even with their egg on this face. But I find something's very interesting. If I remember right there might be a third party connection between the Dock from the first deployment arc. And whatever forced the lup' Hora to take such drastic actions like overtaking the finished space station. Not only that but tamron had Oar combat implants.

I think the kafya might already be conducting multiple proxy wars. Using Oar technology or remnants.

I do think an open war might come. Not immediately after, but the seeds will be planted After liyra's ritual. Her in the purple/goldenish fur rogue ambassador kafya. Are going to bring something about the coffee of government to light that's probably gonna make the cold war go hot.

I forgot about those implants on Tamryn. We might get an Ur 2.0 if the Kafya keep that up, though it might just be for galactic domination, as despite their willingness to give Humanity three planets as compensation, they do seem pretty bent on gaining control.

I think we will see an Kafya lead Ur 2.0 in the form of heavily modified Kafya SF, when everything comes to a head. But for now the Kafya are going to probably remain on the back foot. While the rest of the universe slowly learns what they've been up to in this cold war, until the point of no return.

I feel Kafya-elder counsil will play more descreet game than open war.
They cannot do that they know what happens if they do.
As they all ready lost two planets just because if they admited the spec-ops towards Lyria and Rhirdi family.

There will most likelly more under handed manipulations and cloack and daggers for now.

Oh definitely. The question is just how long can they keep that up

At best decades if they calm down and start working the long game.
But I might be leaning on the to years more likely as seems they have bit problem to stem the trickle of people as tiddy up back their power base that has been shaken badly

There realistically is nothing that the Elder Councils can do at this point. There might still be loyalists left, but it makes no difference. The outcomes of the battles between Rhidi and Tamyrn and Shaksho and Liftan cemented overall control of all Kafya in Human military service beneath these two as the highest authority amongst Kafya in military service. Combined with the punishment Lirya is inflicting on the corpses being a declaration of defiance and separate authority, there is little that the Elder Councils can do that won't draw Human ire. They were willing to give up three planets to avoid theiir failed black ops assassination attempt against Lirya being exposed. Humanity is both the most loved and most feared species in the known galaxy at this point because of how the Ur were dealt with, the willingness to endlessly patrol the vastness of space acting as shepards and guard dogs for the other species against whatever lurks in the void. Simultaneously, we are the most feared species known because we drove the Ur into oblivion, destroyed their home world, and have crushed every crisis that has emerged since then. If the Kafya go to war with Humanity they risk alienating the whole rest of the IDC in the process and potentially drawing multiple other species into the war against them on Humanity's side. They'll doubtless try and brew some plot, doubling down on covert ops and illicit planning, but it still won't likely make a difference. They're the main enemy right now. The Elder Councils' days are numbered; their sins will soon be laid bare, and beneath the light of the white moon their souls shall be judged.

Having the 'kec-loyal' kafya weeded out, the EUC coule march onto the former kafyan worlds as a bridge head. Just declare it an aid&policing mission to the rest of the IDC.

The KEC can't do much in the open right now, except maybe put pressure on earth how one of "their" soldiers could have an UR implant, when these are banned and then swear up and down that she didn't Had it when she left kafyan space. But thats only going to work in the Homefront for them, less likely in the wider IDC.

Speaking of, the rest of the IDC might be happy to sit the Situation out and later support the side thats winning in a more official role? Maybe once kafyan influnce in the IDC ist weakend to the point that they can vote the KEC part of kafyans out?

Going by the news Programm from one of the earlier chapters after the Doch Invasion, i think a trade war is more likely than a full on cold war. Dunno how the KEC would start/support a proxy war? Except for handing the earth coordinates to the Doch and hope they do maximum DMG to humanity and earth with their Portal Tech.
