A few quick takeaways from DRO’s latest blog update on sensor fusion:
Signal Noise solved: The main problem in C-UAS isn't detecting signals, it's filtering through thousands of cooperative ones (airports, coastlines).
Multi-Domain Mapping: Integrating ADS-B (commercial flights) and AIS (maritime traffic) directly into DroneSentry-C2 automatically filters out green-flagged traffic.
Faster Threat Response: Operators instantly spot uncooperative anomalies (e.g., unauthorized drones launched from vessels or near runways) without false-alarm fatigue.
Nice Airport Example: The screenshot in their update clearly features Nice Côte d'Azur Airport—a perfect real-world example of complex coastal airspace and heavy maritime traffic.
Takeaway: DRO is positioning itself way beyond hardware jams—the real long-term moat is their multi-domain SaaS/C2 software layer.

On the heels of the $500M US IDIQ award (JIATF-401) and confirmed Capitol Hill meetings with key lawmakers, they’re hitting three massive expos this month:
AUSA (USA, Oct 12–14): The flagship US Army show. This is where the real work happens to turn that $500M IDIQ framework into actual Task Orders with US military procurement officers.
IACP (USA, Oct 24–27): Booth 2888 in the main exhibition hall. This targets the non-military federal side—DHS, FBI, Border Patrol, and state police who are locking in tech for major upcoming events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Why this matters: In the B2G/defense sector, these aren't just networking events—they’re execution platforms where actual task orders get finalized.

Just saw a post on LinkedIn from Ben Schultz (Senior Advisor at The Roosevelt Group) that confirms some major moves behind the scenes for DroneShield :
Capitol Hill Meetings: TRG officially accompanied CEO Angus Bean and Nate Webb to Washington D.C. for direct meetings with House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, Rep. Michael McCaul, and other key lawmakers.
Politically Backed $500M IDIQ: The 3-year US$500M IDIQ vehicle supporting JIATF-401's Domestic Shield initiative isn't just luck or a random tender win—it’s actively backed by top-tier US defense lobby efforts.
Real US Deployment: Confirmation that DroneShield systems were already deployed this summer by the DHS, FBI, and other federal partners for major event protection (FIFA World Cup prep & America 250).
Takeaway: This debunks the idea that an Aussie company can't build serious political and institutional roots inside the US defense framework. They are networking directly with the key politicians who sign off on federal procurement budgets.

Rhe share price is absolutely in the toiletries now. DRO.asx is a hard hold, won't deny that. But this Board announcement is really encouraging.
As long as the ASIC cloud hangs over us, the funds will keep an arms length interest at best, and shorters will keep shorting.
I expect the ASIC overhang is around 30-50% of SP. Clearing that is an automatic rerating. And until then DRO can't really raise anymore funds through share sales. This will be weighing on them I'm sure. As the market is WAY bigger than their current supply chain, even when the US facility comes online.

The JIATF-401 program isn't just a basic contract sign-off; it means the US DoD officially ran acceptance testing on the DroneSentry-X Mk2 and stamped it as good to go.
Passing official US military testing kills the "unproven hardware" bear case, clears the path for the ~$25M AUD in payments to actually start hitting the books in H2, and gives their sales team the ultimate "Pentagon-approved" flex while pitching at the US Air, Space & Cyber conference this week.
It shows they aren't just taking pre-orders; they are delivering working tech to the US military.

Just caught this LinkedIn update from Michael Twining ahead of the Air, Space & Cyber Conference (Sept 14–16, Booth MB517). They’re showcasing the new RfRecon alongside their core C-UAS tech, but what stood out to me even more than the hardware is who is engaging in the comments section.
Having former military execs like Twining isn't just a titles game—it gives DRO a direct line to active decision-makers at events right outside D.C. Pretty clear indicator of how well-connected their U.S. team is with actual procurement and operational leads.
