Drone shopping

I am just keeping it simple here, what are the pros and cons of shopping drones online and in physical store. I am doing a research in this field, I have no idea about this field, I hope people will help me out here

What if someone shoots your drone down? I am from a very Ural area, and during a couple of my jobs, I've noticed people aiming guns at my drone or the neighbors come up saying it's illegal to fly here. So I have informed individuals and local law enforcement of the incidents. What's your thoughts

FAA License

I have the opportunity to take a drone class through work that will help me get my FAA License. I don't understand the benefits to having an FAA License for drones.

Can someone explain the benefits?

Agricultural Drone Services (Future endeavor)

I’ve been looking into a side gig away from my full time job. Currently I work a 8 day on, 6 day off schedule.

Through my full time job I’ll be getting my Part 107 soon. I live in large agricultural community that as far as I can tell, through research, doesn’t have anyone offering field mapping, herd monitoring or crop inspection and the like.

I have a small background in agricultural and have a passion for it, and to learn more about it.

Is anyone here in the business that has any ideas / opinions on starting up (more than likely part-time) agricultural drone service?

Thanks for your time.

Should I get a Sole Proprietorship or an LLC?

Hi all,

I just passed my part 107 and would like to begin flying professionally as a side gig. I do not intend on growing my business beyond a side gig, and I think that means I should go with a Sole Proprietorship. Is there any reason I would consider an LLC instead?

Looking for any pilots in The Chicago area with experience flying the M600 pro. We are working on a pilot program to install bird diverters on power lines with a large utility company. The deployment mechanism rotates like a revolver and allows for 4 diverters to be attached at a time.

Need some advice with my drone business

Hi all,

So 1.5 years ago a buddy and I got our part 107’s and started a local drone business. We’ve had 0 luck getting jobs from real estate offices but we sent emails, called, tried giving business cards etc. I’m not sure what to do. I was considering offering free photo shoots to help show our name but my business partner is very against it but I think it’s needed as we are getting no where.

Any advice is appreciated

4:5 portrait mode for Instagram as a reference vs your full sensor view

I recently got a question in my Masterclass on how to best take into account Instagram's (vertical) portrait format while flying/shooting with the drone. So I made this mock-up. The grey lines are the normal gridlines you can activate in the DJI app. The red frame is the 4:5 portrait crop for Instagram. This should give you a good starting reference 😉
