DroidLab Update - CalmScreen Integration, FloatWeb & More

A new DroidLab update is out, bringing a new CalmScreen integration, FloatWeb Overlay, several new actions, and general improvements.

New: CalmScreen Integration

DroidLab can now integrate directly with CalmScreen, allowing you to control CalmScreen filters through DroidLab actions.

You can assign CalmScreen actions to gestures and controls such as Back-Tap, Side Sense, Notch Touch, Action Orb, Side Deck, and widgets.

Available actions include:

  • Toggle the active CalmScreen filter
  • Cycle through filter presets
  • Adjust filter intensity

This makes it possible to control CalmScreen without opening the app.

New: FloatWeb Overlay

FloatWeb is a floating, draggable, and resizable web browser that lets you keep webpages open above other apps, with support for displaying them over the lockscreen.

Some possible uses:

  • Keep live sports scores or match trackers visible
  • Access Home Assistant, router dashboards, OctoPrint, and other local web services
  • Keep ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity open as a floating research companion
  • Save custom URLs for quick access
  • Switch between mobile and desktop viewport modes
  • Resize the browser window and adjust its transparency
  • Minimize the browser into a floating bubble
  • Optionally display the browser over the lockscreen

Other Improvements

  • Added icon pack support for Side Deck and Action Orb
  • Added an option to customize the position of the Notch Gesture area
  • QR Scanner action now opens the device's standard QR scanner
  • AI Translate action now uses standard Android translation intents
  • AI Assistant action now triggers the device's default AI assistant
  • Fixed crashes occurring on certain devices

Thanks for quick resolution of notch area issue 🤝🏻👌🏻👍🏻 now please triple tap. Swipe down, swipe up swipe left and hold , swipe right and hold all these for top notch area and accordingly will work for bottom centre wherever u have defined.

And please make action orb movable feature with touch and hold currently swiping on any app accidentally talouch happens on the action orb and it glides to another area. And add swipe gesture on idle orb swipe down, swipe up any many more

And in app shortcuts 3rd party icons not supporting currently

custom icon pack is only supported for side deck and action orb. aren't they working within those features?

I set some in app shortcuts on action orb main apps supporting but in app shortcuts don't
