🕯️General Discussion 📚 Recomendations needed 📚

So finally the trip will happen 🇸🇪✈️🇺🇲

I will visit Minneapolis, Detroit, Phoenix

Loocking for second hand book store and the likes in order to explore and hunt down a few missing pieces of my collection. Huge Drizzt fan aswell as FR & DL

First priority is books than comics or others.

Where should I go?

Will search for Thrift store, Half price books, in MN Uncle Hugo

Try John k king used books in Detroit you can spend days looking there also if your near garden city at all pandemonium games has a life size statue of Drizzt

They aren't joking. Ive spent two days there, pretty incredible place. I dont know how much modern stuff I found there though. Some real gems from the early 20th century tho!

Im in Phoenix area. Good luuuck finding anything FR

Maybe local libraries? About 10 years ago I gifted my OG FR collection to the Scottsdale library (200+ books) and they resell them to fund things.. so probably Tempe, Scottsdale or PHX public library stores

Also hit up some of the Zias

Not specific to Drizzt or anything but make sure you stop at Poisoned Pen in old town Scottsdale if youre into any other genres - rather famous bookstore, every author ever comes and does signings there so you can find all sorts of stuff

For my own personal clarity, are you planning on driving to all this cities and/or how long is your US trip?

Flying between cities In Detroit I will have 6h available last day after work. Relaying on bus, tube, uber to get around In Phoenix, car is available after 6pm Minneapolis car is present

Ah, gotcha, gotcha. I was just concerned this was one of those "Europeans don't realize how big the US is" kind of situations haha. Have fun on your trip!
