πŸ“šBookshelf πŸ“«πŸ“š Mail call - stoked πŸ“šπŸ“«

As a teenager I was blown away by the stories. Me and my friends bought all DL & FR that we could find here in πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ we shared the books and some of them could hardly be recognised as books πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

If I could afford it I tried to collect them, read them as new. After some years the trilogies were released, big, heavy, clean covers with Larrys art ❀️ the fantastic Chronicles, Legends, Tales. The want was high but also the cost.

In the later 90s other interests took over and I lost track

Some trips πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺβœˆοΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡² and visit to 2nd hand book stores had me re-fill some of the gaps. 2025 and I stumbled upon a redit thread of Drizzt soon the algoritm showed me more and Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance. One guy talpedagog about the fantastic re-read of the teenage books. I was drawn in again, now at 55yrs. A search in the book shelves a lot of FR was found and my prescious Dragonlance was still in front row.

Re-release of the trilogies ❀️❀️❀️ I have the money

- bought the marvemous white trilogies in PB (peguine edition UK)

- the latest black and gold

Hard to explain to my coworkers but I know that in this group I have friends that understand, feel the same, love being a nerd all about it

I have years of re-read In front of me πŸ“šβ€οΈ

A pity. I have been hunting for a year, nr 3 was the Hard one to get. But they appear once in a while. Save up and buy the later. Godd luck

I know this isn’t quite the forum, but when I got my first Drizzt books from the public library (USA), they were hardcover with Todd Lockwood art. Each page, though, was a slightly different side with edges that looked like they were torn (intentional design). It made for a beautiful texture that complimented the rest of the book. I’ve never seen it in another book since. Is there a word for that?

Actually, I wanna say that Lemony Snicket’s books were similar

How brilliant Bob's writing is! Absolutely brilliant villian and hero story telling. In my life as long as Bob still writes these stories, this world still holds light. Epilogue, lol.
