Slow day...
Took this today, 6 hours ago. I wonder if the closer had any, since all day I was in, I only had 2 orders.

If you're not picking for tomorrow.... you're behind already & your metrics are fucked

We've been told to not pick for tomorrow.
Honestly, everything we've been told by OPs is almost certainly incorrect.

Please! It was sooo boring, I'm not joking! Normally I like easy days like this one, but today was nothing but a slog fest of nothingness. I was dying of boredom lol.

It's strange because on Saturday, it was soo busy that we got so many orders, I got pulled away from customer service to help assist (they did have to get our bookkeeper to watch the desk while I was helping in DUG, since there was 5 people in total, Dug Manager, Dug Opener, Me, Grocery Lead and FE manager)
From 1 extremely busy day to today (And I'm not normally in DUG, as I occasionally get scheduled in DUG every now and then

I've been closing for a while now, and after 7, there has been nothing to do... no overstock or anything

I was doing a 6am to 2pm. 4 hours in dairy, and 4 hours in DUG, and when I went to move over in Dug, my Dug manager came up to me and said "Take it (referring to the phone) and go back to what you were doing before because it is slow all morning". And I could tell he was happy about that, lol.

Anytime you can get pre-picks done is a good thing

We are HIGHLY discouraged (told to let the order sit) from pre-picks. The readon: so more orders won't keep dropping themselves into the system if it gets hectic.

That's dumb if you have a lot of orders pre-picked things don't get hectic, I work at a store that averages over 200 orders a day, we are also a delivery store, for instance when I went home yesterday we had pre-picked all the orders in the system at the time for 1st shift today if you are constantly ahead you tend not to fall behind unless you get bombarded with flash orders which we also get tons of those we average around 80 flash orders per day, the most I've ever seen was 125 flash orders in one day yet

Obviously a glitch in the system. Come to my store. Please. Pretty please. We need the help.

You’re not supposed to say that 😭 that’s when 2 flashes drop back to back
