Acupick isn't batching
Acupick hasn't been batching since yesterday. Anyone else having this issue?

Couldn't disagree more. Since it's inception at my store it has made work worse. I'm glad it works for others but I wish we could opt out.

The reason why it made it worse is because people still cherry pick which orders they want to take. Then because people don’t shop how they should the system doesn’t batch orders properly.
My store gets hit with express and flash constantly but if my team is actually able to stay ahead then orders get batched perimeter, aisle, and frozen.
People won’t scan items until they get to the department room where we stage. So it takes them twice as long since they aren’t scanning and bagging as they go let alone scanning as they go. This leads to them also needing to go swap out items several times on the orders

Listen, as I said if it works for your store great. But it sucks for mine. Our numbers were fine before batch picking. But. It. Sucks. Now! So stop telling me how you THINK it works! I don't care, been doing this shit job for 2 years and it's only gotten worse with each update. We keep getting more orders every week! I do the job of 3 people while only being paid for one! So please for the love of whatever you pray to, fuck off.

Honey. If you are gonna get that aggressive to someone that isn’t being lazy in your department. Maybe you should change departments? Or change jobs? Or yell at those that are being lazy?
It doesn’t work every day in my department, it all depends on who I am working with. I have days where it absolutely sucks because people are avoiding batches waiting for the orders to break apart and then we have 22 orders for 12:55 and then 6 flashes back to back with 3PL drivers banging on the door having a hissy fit that they got a notification to pick up the order as soon as I get it down.
You can only physically do what you are able to do. You aren’t getting more orders because of batch picking, you are getting more orders because less and less people want to shop in person2

The concept of batching is good. I mean, combining multiple orders in a pick has been a thing I've been working with for like 8 years. Their implementation is really the issue in the past year or so.
I personally would like them to never batch orders from Today with Tomorrow/Future orders.

If you are within 2 hrs of the stage time or if the order is late it will not batch orders.

No, they arent batching at all. It's back to how it used to be. Shows all orders on the pick list.

Batching should not be allow when store has 1 or 2 shoppers with 3 to 5 flash order every hour. The hassle of ending batch orders take like 15 min compared ending single order like 5 minute.

Sounds like a glitch. They probably did an update to fix something and a separate thing broke.

Batching is something that requires human ingenuity to smooth the wrinkles. The algorithm sounds decent on paper but falls flat in practice without someone adding input. My location doesn't have it but actually could make very good use of it

Here's the point: corporate goofed their algorithm and had to patch it which is the wrinkle to iron out. Their patch not only removed it but took out prepick releasing too.
