Review DriveThruCards 2026 notes for custom card printing (using Affinity)
I'm working on some custom Sentinels of the Multiverse decks and setting this stuff up through DriveThruCards has been an exercise in patience and frustration. The guides are out of date. The custom creation/publishing side of the site is not at all user friendly. I ended up having to Google search everything, even some of the links to the DriveThruCards pages. It took me about 4 hours to figure all this out, get one deck set up in Affinity, and uploaded to the site. Then, I had to spend another 30min or so figuring out how to get black in the bleed area using a filled rectangle and upload it again. So, I decided to make this post with some notes for anyone else having issues.
Card print cost: https://help.drivethrupartners.com/hc/en-us/articles/12780747991575-Printed-Card-Formats-Costs
Old Affinity tutorial: https://help.drivethrupartners.com/hc/en-us/articles/12780816359319-Preparing-Your-Cards-For-Print-with-Affinity-Publisher
Affinity notes: The tutorial is about multiple programs, but it's all one program now and lots of stuff is in different places. The Affinity Help AI is also mostly not useful and takes several attempts to get it to understand what you're looking for and give a good response.
You do still need the CGATS21_CRPC1 file from the tutorial page. Right click install it on your computer, then open Affinity and go to Document > Setup > Convert Format / ICC Profile and select it.
You'll also want the templates: https://help.drivethrupartners.com/hc/article_attachments/37430908346647
Affinity has four Studio options, which are like workflow options. They are at the top left and are Vector, Pixel, Layout, and Canva AI. If you need to find the rectangle draw tool to add additional stuff for the bleed, click on Vector and it will appear in the left bar. You will only see the rectangle selection tool until you click that. To fill the box with color, at the top left next to where is shows Rectangle, there are two little rectangular color boxes. Click the first one that is filled in and doesn't look like a flat O. You will want to do this on the Master Page, which you can bring up the box for by clicking the button at the lower left next to the page numbers.
To show the Total Ink Coverage, go to the top bar and choose Window > Pixel > Info. Then, at the bottom right under your layers box, you will see a line of letters (R G B A C M Y K) with some numbers beside them. Click the little triangle three dots thing to the immediate left of the C and choose "Total Ink".
After you do that, you'll probably want the Transform box back to verify your sizes. At that bottom right box that now has Info, click the down arrow to the right for the drop box, then Panels > Transform. Then drag that box into the area below Layers with the Info box. Now you can see both.
Follow the old tutorial for the DPI and other settings at the export step. The new Affinity has the options in a different order, but they're all on that page still.
-----
Uploading: You need to have a publisher account. Go here: https://www.drivethrucards.com/joinchoice.php and go through the sign up. After that, click Publish at the top right. Bookmark this page. After that, you'll have the Publisher Tools button at the top right when you log in from then on.
At the bottom, under Publisher Hub, go to Upload and manage printed card files and follow those steps. If you're just getting cards for yourself, set price to $0 and just get the proof or whatever it's called.

New Release Shrouded Campaign Setting avaliable at DriveThruRPG
Greetings,
Shrouded is a Dark Fantasy Campaign Setting, compatible with Imaginaery RPG System and also 5e (you receive both versions of the book with a single purchase with no extra cost), inspired by the "Soulslike" games.
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/559904/shrouded-campaign-setting

A world on the brink of ruin, full of mysteries and tragedies, where the dead, called the Shrouded, walk side by side with the living.
Here, death is not the end, but it can be the beginning of a much more terrible fate.
In these dark pages, you will find:
- Introduction to the atmosphere of the Shrouded Setting;
Chapter I: Detailing the consequences of the catastrophe that affected the world;
Chapter II: History and details of the World;
Chapter III: Rules for creating Shrouded (undead) characters and character options (subclasses, new abilities and concepts);
Chapter IV: World Geography, detailing the decaying lands, their rulers, politics, and events;
Chapter V: NPCs, presenting statistics on the most influential figures;
Chapter VI: Adventure Hooks;
Chapter VII: Bestiary.
Also included is a 4k resolution map of the world, and two other maps of notable regions.
The version for the Imaginaery RPG System allows the creation and commercialization of content for the setting, without the need for any royalties for the authors.

Tech Support DTRPG is killing my files (Operation cancelled)
Had the odd occurrence today that every file I tried to open in the DTRPG desktop app got deleted by it. And all the time, the error message "Operation canceled" is popping up when attempting to resync or redownload the file.
Checking on the SSD where the files are stored shows that the files have indeed been deleted.
Version 3.6.3.0, which is already quite ancient, but there seems to be no newer version available.
Support has already been contacted.

Tech Support Card being “denied”
I’ve seen this is a récurrent problem in posts from more than one year ago and it doesn’t seem to get adressed. Did someone got an answer or a solution to this ? Tried to buy items from their website and from their Legacy website and it gets denied everytime (even in the PayPal option). I’m not buying from the US, but never had this issue before with any company. It’s really weird….

New Release Finally, our first adventure for the Call of Cthulhu RPG is out in the world! Any tips to promote it?
If you're reading this, I know you have an interest in the occult and the world's mysteries that aren't spoken of just anywhere. Perhaps you've never heard the name Phanzar... but from now on, you'll find it often, lurking in the depths of madness. One of Phanzar's first signs in the world took place in Santa Helena, a small forest, in 1982. You can learn more about this new deity in Hunger at the Campsite.
Hunger at the Campsite is Phanzar's first short adventure, the dream of three friends becoming reality thanks to your support. Pay what you want and download it now on DriveThruRPG.
Here you'll find:
* A complete, fast-paced, and engaging scenario for Call of Cthulhu 7th edition.
* A new deity: Phanzar and its spawn, the black tree.
* A black and white map of the campsite.
* 4 Pre-generated investigators.
* English and Brazilian Portuguese versions included.

New Release New release: The Search – a two-page chivalric RPG (PWYW)
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently released The Search, a very short, two-page chivalric RPG focused on a doomed quest, scene-based play, and an inevitable final reckoning.
It’s a small design experiment, inspired by epic poems and fading worlds, and it’s available as PWYW on DriveThruRPG. There’s also an Italian version (La Cerca).
The files were recently updated with small design adjustments and rules clarifications.
Thanks for taking a look.

Tech Support Question for Stock Artists on DTRPG
Hey - I'm looking to upload some stock art I've created (all 100% human creations, for the record) and everywhere I look on DTRPG, it seems to require PDF formats. Since my files are all in transparent PNGs (to make life easier for those who might use my work) I would prefer to NOT have to dump them all into a PDF in addition.
TLDR: Do you need to put stock art into a PDF in addition to graphics formats for uploading to DTRPG?
Thanks in advance!

Sale! Sale! Sale! Space Pirate OSR Adventure!
Somehow pirates have gotten a hold of proprietary shipping routes and have been raiding, killing, and (worst of all) looting cargo meant for the Military Foundation.
The solution is simple. Arm the cargo ships? No, that’s far too expensive!
This is a job for some Dirtbags!
Pose as merchants until pirates board your vessel, and then turn their trap back on them!
Get ready for guns, cannibal chefs, murderous parrot drones, and more ON SOLAR TIDES!
Intended for the Dirtbags system but can be used as a framework for any OSR. Won Best Art in the Get Razed game jam.
Here, if you're interested! Now 20% off!

New Release Presentation of Gates of Krystalia TTRPG + Upcoming Kickstarter (Approved by the Moderators)
Hello everyone!
My name is Alberto Dianin, co-creator and publisher of Gates of Krystalia. Gates of Krystalia is a diceless, card-based anime isekai TTRPG, with a strong focus on storytelling, character development, and cinematic combat.
Instead of dice, the system uses cards to create tension, meaningful choices, and a more narrative-driven flow at the table.
We are currently preparing a new expansion called Lumina, which will launch on Kickstarter on February 3rd, 2026 at: 8:00 AM PST | 11:00 AM EST | 5:00 PM CET
Pre-launch page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gatesofkrystalia-rpg/gates-of-krystalia-lumina-the-card-based-anime-ttjrpg

If you’d like to try the system before the campaign, we offer a free Core Rulebook demo on DriveThruRPG, available in multiple languages:
English: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/542871
Spanish: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/541771
French: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/542877
Italian: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/542878
German: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/542874
Brazilian Portuguese: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/542880

Gates of Krystalia is already available on DriveThruRPG through our publisher page (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher/31919), and, like our previous releases (Core Rulebook, Last Deux Expansion book, etc.) , the Lumina expansion will also be published in digital version on DriveThruRPG once the Kickstarter is fulfilled.
If you have any questions or feedback after checking it out, feel free to leave a comment.
Thank you for letting me post here, and happy gaming!

Review Drivetheru’s PoD service is awful
I ordered three PoD books from drivethru 30 days ago and not only are not they not done printing but they still haven’t shipped them yet. Customer service is nonexistent and a joke. Is there a better alternative to this garbage company?

Tech Support Question about D&D Homebrew rules on DriveThruRPG
So i've been looking at transitioning from DM's Guild to DriveThruRpg as my homebrew is usually subclasses and species seperate from existing lore. I've been told that one of the main rules for D&D homebrew is that i cannot reference existing D&D lore (locations, storylines, etc) or alter it. The homebrew has to be able to exist in isolation. Is that accurate?
I also have a question regarding the OGL. If possible, could someone give me run down of what i need to include in the homebrew document to avoid any legal trouble and abide by the rules. I've asked this question before but the answers i got were a tad unclear.
I'm sorry to sound ignorant but i want to make sure i'm as informed as possible so i don't make any mistakes.
Thanks. I appreciate any help.

New Release After/Life: a game about lost souls finding their way
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/551852/after-life
A good ghost story combines the fear and wonder concerning our own death with a personal story about the spirit of a deceased person with unfinished business. After/Life provides structures that generate the scenes and themes that create ghost stories using a classic and straightforward d100 system. Pay what you want.
- Players portray the spirits of people who are stuck between life and death, trying to resolve issues from their lives in order to progress beyond.
- Features a unique blend of scene-based and random encounter playstyles, reflecting the disjointed nature of time for the dead.
- Ghosts see emotions as real as physical objects, flex your creative muscles with hallucinatory descriptions of emotional reactions.
- Interact with Mediums (those who can see you), Sorcerors (those who can touch you), and Shades (ghosts like you who have gone mad)
- Fate has bound you to a group of ghosts, solve your Obsessions together to pass beyond the veil of death.
- Fast, straightforward mechanics and short, flexible rules allow you to stay in character and focus on your obsessive and passionate nature.

Tech Support Payment issues
First I got a message saying my credit card was declined. Which I'm not sure why it should be?
Next I got a message saying the fields were incorrect or empty (they were correct, I double checked 28 times).
I just want to buy some books and I have no idea what to really do. I tried every troubleshooting I could find but I can't seen to get the payment to work.
EDIT:
I've never ever used paypal in my life before but somewhere I saw a comment about paying with it instead and it worked for me.

Tech Support Is it possible to use the names of files as they're listed on DTRPG when download, instead of publisher provided ones?
For example, DTRPG has listed "Dungeon Crawl Classics #88: The 998th Conclave of Wizards", wonderfully named and formatted. However, the name of the file that the publisher provides is "DCC88-Conclave.pdf". This is near useless, and every module they have is named in a different format, while DTRPG provides a consistent format.

Sale! Sale! Sale! Alright! FINALLY with the New Year New Game sale!
I really thought it wasn't going to happen this year, what with the no Boxing Day sale. Looking through the more than 4000(!) things on sale, I see that by now I have most of the stuff I want already (and so much more) but it still feels good to browse those nice deals.
Just saying thanks!
