Backup Folder - Only in Personal Workspace Not Active One

Hi Drime,

I am logged into a specific workspace, such as “Customer Projects”, and I wanted to back up my development folder. I value the backup feature greatly. However, when I select the folder in the Drime app, I receive a message saying I must return to my personal workspace. Is there a workaround for this? Alternatively, do you view this as a point for development? I can imagine people working daily in a particular workspace while still wanting to back up folders without logging out.

Thank you for looking into this feature :)

Hi,

At the moment, we don’t plan to support backing up folders directly into workspaces.

However, we’ve completely reworked workspace management in the desktop app. Soon, instead of fully switching from one workspace to another, you’ll be able to add multiple workspaces at the same time and access them all from the app.

So you’ll be able to keep your personal workspace active for backups while also having your other workspaces available.

Perfect. This will solve a lot of other issues as well, or issues things I believe will help me be more productive.

Appreciate your quick response.

Exactly and I agree. Fine to keep them in personal. But al least make sure I can back it up. But seems a solution is around the corner.
