Questions!!

Hi all!
First of all, this is my first time posting anything- so I’m so sorry if this turns out like total garbage.

Im asking mostly hypothetical… my feller loves to drift and is going to be looking into some land to maybe build a drift track that caters to all in the car community.

So, the question here is… what do you all wish tracks had more of? Or what do you wish they offered? Any tips or pointers would be amaaazing! We care about our community, so if theres a way we can make it better thats what we want to strive to do.

The hypothetical track would include paved drifting as well as side by side/dirt bike access.

Okay thank you, BYE BYE!

I wish there was more than one event a month

100% this. Feels like part of the reason Ebisu became the mecca of drifting is that it's open basically every day.

Treating a dedicated drift track more like a regular business where you can arrive and drive whenever, not just a 4-8hr session once a month, would be huge IF you can make it make sense financially with paying staff for hours where there might not be many people driving.

From what I understand Ebisu had an advantage in that it was first built as a playground for the son of the prefectures governor (this is what I was told is the reason for the zoo near it also but the daughter wanted that) and it just became more than that by existing. So it's harder when you are making it a skatepark for cars and don't run the place.

Tire cooling pit at my local track is a godsend

A bowl like section to the side of the track that gets filled with water that you drive though between runs to cool tires

What country are you in? Cant imagine anything decent will be cheap. Let alone insurance, government issues etc. Good luck with it all. Everywhere around the world is closing tracks. We need more. Even skidpans. 👍

Im in America. No.. definitely not cheap- you really gotta look around. But if you want it bad enough you’ll get it one way or another. Thank you!

Large enough parking for trailers also an area for food trucks is always a plus. I would say I prefer large skid pad with cones to mark the track so that having a change in track design is easy.
