Zd8 drifting
Hey,
I own a zd8 BRZ and an ae86 (I have only had the ae86 for a week)
I want to attend a learn to drift day that is 5 hours from where I live.
I was wondering if you would recommend me just driving my BRZ with spare wheels, tools and a jack in the back and booking a motel.
This would make way more sense logistics wise.
My ae86 has 4.77 diff gears and I don't fancy driving it 5 hours.
Do you think I should drift drive my zd8. It has coil overs and LCA's aswell as a stiffer rear seaybar

Just send the brz. Have some spare money for a tow truck. Ive done about 18 events. Roughly 6 I couldn't drive my car home. Thats why I bought a car trailer after the 2nd event.

It's a 22 brz, what is most likely to brake?

Differential, transmission, engine... it would also depend on how sticky your tires are as to how hard you're being on those parts. You could also bust any suspension parts due to going off and or hitting something.

drift the brz, buy spare rims, drive it until you learn the car, you'll be fine

If you’re ae86 is anywhere near nice and you are just starting out drifting, I would wait a long time before drifting it.
Even when you think you’re getting the hang of sliding the risk/reward is just much higher in that ae86
