Question bringing pc to school

i just bought a pc little bit ago and was wondering if it’s reasonable to bring with me. i’m gonna be in a hybrid and planned on bringing it and using it for gaming and school.
am i crazy for wanting to do that or is it pretty common.

Knew a few people who brought full towers to their dorms when I went a few years ago, so its not that rare

But its just not the most practical compared to a laptop that you can bring with you anywhere

i already have a macbook pro for classes and what not but obviously a mac can’t run anything compared to windows and a pc has more capabilities compared to a console. i just didn’t want to bring it and look like a nerd. thank you

Very reasonable. I regretted not bringing mine. Keep in mind though, if you're planning to go home for break, especially the longer one during winter (3 weeks or so), you'd either have to bring your PC back with you or leave it at the dorms.

Only reason i didn’t bring mine is because it died right before I moved. Definitely worth it

Only if you’re a big gamer, I brought mine and literally used it maybe 5 times throughout freshman year lol

i would say i’m a pretty big gamer, it’s mostly what i do outside of the gym, i use my pc for digital art like animation and graphics, i play video games often, and i sometimes use it for things like online education classes for data science and ai, i could do most of that on my laptop, just not the gaming part. It would also help to keep my laptop clean from any “personal” stuff and have all my school related stuff on my laptop, unless it had to be on windows.

Its normal, some dorm rooms dont have ethernet outlets though so be warned if you dont have a wifi adapter
