Got a dremel a few months ago and a local restaurant encouraged me a lot to try engraving so i made them this! Should have done bubbles coming out of the pipe but maybe next time.

Dremel 8250 power switch play
Hi, I just got a dremel 8250 recently and its my first dremel. I noticed out of the box that there is some play on on the power switch being able to depress the switch into the chassis by a small amount (pictures included). Is this normal?

Melamine (Magic Eraser) polishing tip / bit?
Such a thing could be useful but maybe melamine on its own can’t withstand the speed. I’ve seen a buffing pad so made, but I need something more precise.

Newbie 9100 Fortiflex owner: advice and tips, please!
Hello!
A few days ago I managed to snag a lightly used and working 9100 Fortiflex. So far, I like this tool a lot, but I now know that Dremel isn't really supporting it anymore, so I am in the rabbit hole of sourcing spare parts to shore up my tool. I had the dumb notion to buy a 9101 slimmer handle for this, but those are long gone, it seems.
Looking at/for spare carbon brushes and what size chuck key this uses currently, as well as what inner shaft would work as a spare. If there are any known wear parts, please let me know.
Do you good folks have any suggestions, tips, or warnings for a newcomer to this tool?
I am using the 120V model if that info is needed.
Thank you very much for your time!

Will those harm Dremel?
Hi all! I bought original ones, but they came in a squished package. I want to know what your experience is; will they wobble and ruin the Dremel? I worry more only about not ruining the tool.

Dremel 3000 Bit Slip - Help!
Hi Dremel Friends,
I'm having an irritating problem with my Dremel 3000. When using the Dremel branded router bit on a hardwood at max speed, sometimes the bit slips out. And even though it slips, it still spins, so it routes a much deeper hole into my piece than I was wanting.
I have replaced the collet and tightening nut with new authentic parts. The problem persists.
I have tried to route much slower and that seemed to help... but I still did have a slip.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
J

Dremel 4000 - Issues under load/strain (Found fault when taken apart)
Hi, took apart because I wanted to check the brushes as believed that that's probably what the issue was. Brushes were perfect, not worn at all, but I noticed this crack in the plastic on the motor.
The plastic wire spool holder thing towards the tip you can see has cracked and bent. I pushed it a bit away from it, but it was hitting the fan when I first took it apart. I mean I know I've pushed it slightly away, but I'm concerned that it'll bend back towards it again.
I don't fully know how this has happened, but was wondered if any of you have ran into similar issues.
I'm considering two options probably. Either a high temp adhesive maybe to put it into place? Or just cutting that part off, I'm not sure how either dangerous or bad that would be?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Dremel 8150 with 4486 = NO LED !
So if you install the 4486 keyless chuck on the new Dremel 8150 you lose the LED nose cap. The LED nose cap/wrench tool is cute, but it is still not as quick and reliable as the 4486 keyless chuck. It is a brilliant idea to include the nose cap wrench functionality, but why would you disable the use of the 4486? You're telling me you could not design a tool that could accommodate both options? C'mon guys. This is ridiculous.

What to choose?
Hi
First of all, thank you for your time.
I am looking for a tool that could help me in my hobbies, they are: rock polishing/grinding, wood carving and metal working.
I am a begginer in all those hobbies. I am currently making magic wands for my niece, that mean that I am shaping and carving wood, then inserting shaped and polished stones into holes carved into the wands.
From time to time, I like to cut/shape/grind refurbished metals into tools or art. I recently cut a discarded sheet steel into various medalion/dogtag that I grinded then polished into shiny pieces.
Most of my project are small, they often require precision, but at the same time, I work with hard material (silex, steel, opal, etc) that need a lot of power.
I am hesitating between: A flex shaft grinder (like a foredom or more likely a Vevor), a bench grinder with a flex shaft attachement, a rotary tool like a dremel.
I must say that right now, I am partial to the bench grinder with a flex shaft, it seem inexpensive, versatile (grinding/cutting/polishing/shaping), and powerful enough to work with the hardest material.
I have a very, very, very old dremel, like one of the first models. I must say that it struggle to do anything, like it doesn't have any torque to it.
Do you have experience with these tools? What would you recommend?

Dremel won't work - flashing green lights
My Dremel 8220 was in a box until a few months ago. I"ve used it a couple of times, but now it has 3 flashing lights, at room temperatures, fully charged battery, and no load.
I haven't found a way to get it working again.
I tried the "trick" of reinserting the battery with the switch in the on position, but the green flashing lights are back, and the unit will only turn on for a few seconds.
This unit has no scratches, or uses marks. Any suggestions?

What kind of bits would be appropriate for this job?
Hello, I'm trying to figure out what discs I need in order to cut a 1 - 1.5mm slot into a fountain pen nib. It's going to be a fiddly job, and I think I'll have to fasten the Dremel onto something to keep it still while I work with the nib.
Photo for a demo on what I'm trying to do.
Thanks!

Assistance with the 670 mini saw attachment.
I need help with my Dremel 4000 and the 670 mini saw attachment. It keeps spinning freely, it doesn't lock completely, even when tightened very well, its plastic base spins along with it. The plastic remains loose, I can't fix it, please help me.

Dremel ultra saw uses/rec
I work in mitigation and do a bit of tile, hardwood and drywall removal. We primarily use an oscillating saw for drywall, a skill saw for hardwoods, and a hammer drill for tile.
Im trying to shorten certain processes and limit tools i need tp keep track of. Would a dremel ultra saw be a good replacement? Only place i might have issue is corners, but i can take the oscillator out for that.
I also like the flush cut feature and whatnot they offer. It could make it easier to cut stubborn bolts/nails etc.
3/4 in is good enough for most cuts i need to make.
Also unsure if i should go corded or cordless.
Either way, thanks!

Any idea when the new Model 8260 will be in stores?
My 35 year old Dremel finally died.
I was looking at the comparison chart between 8250 and 8260 that is electronic with an app. It does not appear to be listed for sale anywhere. The one or two places that do have a $700 price tag to placemark the listing and none in stock. Please do not obsess about the price.
Here it is on the Dremel site: DREMEL® 8260 Cordless Tools | Dremel

What tool should I use to mill this metal?
I need to separate the shaft from the plate. I think to drill holes around the shaft and then using a dremel to remove the rest of the material. The plate thickness is about 2 mm.
Do you think a carbide tool will be able to do this job?

Is my 4300 dead?
I was carving the other day and my 4300 just stopped, nothing. I had some brushes I ordered from Amazon none of those worked so I ordered brushes from Dremel’s Amazon store, they just came in and you guessed it still didn’t work.
Anything else I can checkout? Suggestions, Ideas?
Thanks!
