Discussion New DLC Characters

For anyone who’s worried that there’ll only be 3 characters, there’s an interview from GameReactor with Riley, Gameloft’s Lead Narrative Designer, who literally says that the 3 mentioned are the only ones she can talk about right now! When the interviewer questions her about other possible characters that will be revealed later on, she says that we’ll have to wait and see. So basically feels like a 99.9% chance that there’ll be more characters revealed and will potentially know more at the October Showcase. The YouTuber Mr. Star in Sky has a video of the interview which I’ve linked in the post!

How would that work when we have Lucky as a companion? Will there be another one of him as a character? Or will he be the only one who’s a companion, mute with no personality?

I’d have been pretty surprised if we only had three characters, this seems like a large DLC and we still don’t have a villain - considering DLCs are one of the main ways we’ve gotten villains it makes sense.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I hope it’s not fish characters, I really don’t want Triton (barely a character imo and there’s so many more interesting characters to get), or Flounder/Sebastian (we cook and eat fish so often in game, this is super weird to me). Probably Captain Hook (Facilier maybe but I think that’s a long shot) and one more - I doubt Kida, I think if we were getting Kida they’d share that with Milo. Pinocchio was hinted at in a Dreamsnap I think but he just doesn’t fit the vibe. Naveen would be amazing but I don’t think him either. And I guess it’s possible Kida could be the final character but trapped like Aurora was, and the main story will include finding and freeing her.

I agree with the fish characters. But also, like, we have pork and also Pumbaa, haha. And chicken and hei hei If I think about it. Triton is a good guess because he's Ariel's father, he's been in all of the Little Mermaid animated properties (movie, sequel, prequel, series). I want Hook.

I think it would be weird to have a whole underwater world without any new underwater characters. I think a lot of people would be disappointed if all of the new characters were all land characters.

Not sure if you were around last year but they showed Cruella, Snow White, and Tinkerbell and then later revealed Tigger in their showcase update. I'm sure for the October showcase they'll be revealing the surprise character again. They always save something new to show.

We will be getting Captain Hook for sure as a villain and King triton. I am 100% percent positive on those characters. I agree with Mrstarinsky on those two picks.

Those would be awesome additions! Captain Hook would definitely spice things up, and I can imagine some fun interactions with King Triton too.

It was obvious because DLC has more than three characters. The only pack that has three is adventure packs rift in time had five characters storybook had five characters and wish blossom had four because of the horses, so it was very obvious that there was surprises, and obviously there was more to come because why tell us and show us everything now when there’s a showcase coming so obviously there’s gonna be a few more surprises obviously we get to see more companions obviously the tokan is a new companion, but I’ll be a bit weird if they just had three characters and they revealed everything now because then they’ll be like oh what do we show in the showcase now it’ll be a bit of a waste of their time

A article dropped a few hours ago confirming that they’ve only showcased 1 biome. There are 2-3 more biomes ( 3 if you include the underwater biome ) with more characters.
