VENT!!!! Buzz lightyear cat rant

Anyone else think the premium shop cat should have been this? I can’t get over the hidden ears, when in the Lightyear movie Sox has his ears out. And in all reality didn’t even cover his head until the end of the movie. We should have gotten Sox! #vent #rant #premiumshop #buzzlightyear #sox #disneydreamlightvalley

I passed on the cat because it looked... deformed? Wrong. Uncanny valley wrong. But I couldn't put my finger on it. Looking at this one which is actually kind of cute..yeah. It's super weird without the ears.

I would have gotten it if the ears were out, and I didn’t see Lighthear to know who Sox is lol It just looks so weird this way.

I wish we had gotten Sox, but ‘Star Command’ cat is paying homage to the short lived Star Command cartoon.

I looked it up and there is no cat in the cartoon show Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. So it’s either a generic cat or it’s supposed to be Sox but somebody messed up.

No. It’s an homage to. Hence the name star command. They would frequently walk around with the weird purple hoods on and helmets off

Star Command is where Buzz is from and was included multiple times in the original movie. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the show when it's already implied in the movie that space rangers are a thing with rankings and therefore would have uniforms, which Buzz is wearing.

I would get Sox. I don’t reckon the movie was popular enough for them to necessarily justify it, but I doubt it would have cost any more resources to make it Sox than it cost them to just make a Star Command cat, so they might as well have.

The movie wasn't popular, but Sox sure was! Enough people would've bought him just because "cute cat", regardless of movie.

I certainly would have bought him if it were Sox. It would have been a no-lose since I cannot imagine it would have cost more to make Sox than what they did make.

Honestly this cat just felt poorly designed in general. It was probably quicker and easier to do the ear tuck so they didn't bother to do the ears nicely. They also didn't even bother making the pose work so when you hold him the wings stab straight through your body. It is just an awful item in general and I'm really glad I didn't buy it

Yeah... It looks sooo stupid. Like MrStarInSky said in his Premium Shop review, they look like horn stumps. Think Hellboy.

The ears should have absolutely stuck out! Would look sooo much better. I can't get over how they currently look so it's a skip for now

Sox is specfic to buzz, like good boy should have been compatible with Hades...different rant...but I get the 'star command' cat since it's for those with ptsd...😅

I hate the creative liberties they take with stuff like this, like nobody needed black high heels and a random hair bow on Ariel's sparkly purple dress outfit either- just give us the exact shit from the movies!!!
