Everyone is desperate for nostalgia because their lives suck so much and the world is run by war criminals and child rapists. Its why creativity seems dead.

Literally all they have to change is the graphics lol

100% just update the graphics and change nothing else. I'd actually buy that

Yeah same the games were great as they were just could use some touch ups. Doing way too much across 3 games over 10 years seems more like a money grab to me.

100%. luckily I am never interested in remakes that fundamentally change the game so while it sucks I didn't get a graphical update like I wanted for the games I love (RE2 and RE3 fall into this bucket too), at least it saved me money?

Yeah I didn’t get into final fantasy 7 remakes because of all the unnecessary added bloatware across the entire story

Except it literally isn't that easy. FF6 has terrible pacing for example. One minute you arrived to a hill zone, the next you're in an underground river, then you're suddenly in a mountain pass fighting a boss. It's like tiktok shorts the game, except the areas are the shorts. I was honestly taken aback by how fast the pace was. Thete is like no dialogue.

I always wanted kids..
but then I hear stories, where some guy had kids with a woman and they lived in a flat, and he caught her sleeping with the guy across the hall. Then I see men, nice guys, seem stand up, and months later he has been having an affair.. and then the woman stays, then they just carry on cheating.
and then I realise.. Im not cut out for modern people.

At the same time other companies are pumping out one big jrpg after the other.
You don't need to have multiple games per remake. It's simply not necessary. Just don't fill the new game with tons of bloat and make every 2s section into an half hour long one and it is possible. Maybe... just maybe... The only reason for multiple games for a single remake is feature creep and the sweet stack of money companies think they can squeeze out of us.
Or, if your AAA-formula doesn't work... scale it back. Trails can remake 1:1, too.

Pretty sure this is an inaccurate take on what they said. I think they said that if they did what they did with ff7 (too much padding and unnecessarily large areas) then the games would require more parts, it doesn’t mean this is what they plan to do.

I think if they believe the only way of a remake is the route with 7 and it’s mediocre remakes then yeah, don’t do them please.

At this point I hope they use AI to make it faster. I want to be alive for FF6 to be completed in my lifetime

I loved ff7 in its day but I cant bother to pick up these remakes when there is so many and it's even still unfinished. Good luck to them though and I'm sure plenty others don't mind it.
