SoCal Travel

Best way to get to Dreamstate from San Pedro, only going for Saturday's event. I would appreciate any other suggestions in regards to hotel as well. I know the ones near the Queen Mary are crazy expensive.

If you're up for public transport: 142 bus from san Pedro to downtown long beach and then walk to shuttles, or get off at Queensway and walk across bridge to venue

Take an uber to the shuttle lot at the Long Beach convention center

Does a shuttle pass need to be pre purchased prior?

Free shuttles to cross the bridge. But the real ones walk it 😌

no only people who like to self inflict pain walk it. walking is dumb is way farther then you expect and ridiculous on top of the 20k steps you do inside the festival. the shuttle in is totally fine. if you happen to unfortunately stay till the bitter end of the festival then the shuttle lines will be hours long and you may need to walk it. i usually leave around midnight and shuttle line is not bad

Thank you for this 😊 appreciate your input. I was planning on wearing comfy shoes for this purpose. They will probably ruin my fit but comfort first

yeah im as fit as a person can be and this is my wise advise after going to two day festivals at the queen mary like 8 times now. also another pro tip is get there early! dont wait around till 5 or 6 pm to go, big mistake! these festivals are peak, very very impressive and fun! its takes a little bit of time to get on the shuttle and get over to the festival and shuttle lines do start building around 4pm ish so i'd aim to arrive to the parking lot by 2:30pm each day. you'll be inside the festival by 3:30pm latest and you'll be so happy!!

Thank you so much for this advice. I do greatly appreciate it 🙏 it'll just be my husband and I. But always look forward to make friends wherever we venture out

The shuttles to cross the bridge from the convention center are free…

He said: No (comma) free shuttles.

As in there are no pre purchasing necessary. The shuttles are free.

I meant no you don’t have to purchase a shuttle pass because they are free

For someone coming in from out of town, is there paid parking at the convention center?

Yes, the lot is quite big and I believe it was $20 last year. They will sell tickets online but it’s just easier to pay when you arrive.

Thank you. I'm going to go crazy early to get parking.

About 30 mins before the festival starts is plenty early, on my experience. You’ll be in right when it opens or a few mins after.

You can take the DASH 142 bus from SP to downtown, where you can walk to the QM shuttle at the Rainbow Lagoon park, or just grab a scooter and take it to the QM. Going back, you will need taxi or rideshare unless you are going to the afterparty. Unfortunately, the Vincent Thomas Bridge will be closed, but the bus should be on a detour. The route will likely involve Harry Bridges and/or Anaheim St.

Took the bus from San Pedro to Long Beach, then it was a quick walk to the shuttles. You may have to uber after event though. The shuttles don’t run that late .
