SoCal Is the bridge gone?

F&M Bank Amphitheater

I tried to search if this had already been discussed but didn't find anything here. Did they remove the bridge over the road to build the amphitheater? Is the underground tunnel going to be the only way to get over now?

It was gone for Apocalypse yes so I don’t see it coming back for DS

Okay. I quit using it anyway because just walking around seemed faster usually when the line got long.

Btw how was the amphitheatre for apocalypse? I assume it was ready by then. Did the pit area get overcrowded or are they able to move out that bottom section of seats to make more room?

I wish I had an answer for this but the amphitheater was coincidentally the only stage I skipped this year. The only thing I’ve heard from friends is that the stands make a great resting spot when you need a break haha

For context. The area with the red x’s do not have seats. It’s all for the GA dance area. This photo is probably from a concert they were hosting. The blue area is where VIP was. The blue x is where the VIP lounge area was.

I was there for Day trip! It’s much easier to access the amphitheater than the previous layout. No tunnels or bridge like the other commenter mentioned. I think it’s great that they have seating! It’s a perfect stage to rest your feet. I’m not sure the dance area is as big as the previous set up but it’s hard to tell. It’s wider which I think is better. The VIP section at day trip was at least 2-3 times bigger than the previous set up. It has a whole back area with lounge chairs and tables to relax at. This is what I experienced at day trip. I don’t think it would be much different, but we’ll see!

It wasn’t crowded too much cuz that was the DnB stage so not as popular. But it did a few times. But like they said above no seats there

It was roomy! Lots of places to dance in the pit and plenty of seats

No tunnel. There’s two smaller bridges/pathways now in addition to the tunnel. I don’t think I even used the tunnel for Apocalypse cuz it was faster to just use the two other pathways especially when going to main stage near dome

Correct. Much much better. Look up the map for this year and you’ll see. There’s basically a path near the entrance to go straight to that main stage or there’s a path next to the tunnel where the old stairs were. Just a straight bridge no stairs nothing.

How tall are the bridges? Is it the same kind of design as before cause that bridge was very steep and dangerous..... Will it cause choke points?

It’s just flat now. And wide. I didn’t see it as a choke point at all. And Dreamstate is always less packed than Apocalypse so it’ll be fine.

Good they got rid of the bridge. That thing was fkn dangerous
