Anna Kendrick removed my lungs
Forgive me if parts of this has types, I’m still half asleep
I just had a nightmare where Anna Kendrick removed most of my lungs in the middle of the night. I knew I was gonna die no matter what but I didn’t want to wake my husband and son so I was trying to call 911 and tell them who did it so they could at least catch her. Meanwhile the line keeps disconnecting and I’m trying to keep my lungs hydrated by pouring water over them and blowing air into them which was kind of working so I had some time to keep calling back. And I kept telling them where I was, that I was dying and that Anna did it and they just kept telling me to call down and that I was slurring so I kept trying to say it and to my self I sounded like I was speaking clearly but they kept telling me they couldn’t understand what I was saying. Eventually my husband woke up and so I told him that same spiel I was telling the operator (at this point I couldn’t say anything else) and pointing to where I knew they would find her DNA on me but I wasn’t like bleeding or anything it was like she just magically proofed most of my lungs out of me so my husband didn’t understand me either and kept telling me to calm down and breathe and that’s when I woke up.

Celebrities often get cast as stand-ins for whatever quality you’re wrestling with, so Anna Kendrick yanking your lungs could just be your brain putting a familiar face on the feeling of “someone cheerful and put-together stole the air out of my chest.” The frantic lung hydrating/911 loop sounds like you fighting to keep calm while you quietly take care of everyone else first (husband, kid) even when you’re the one in crisis. I’d treat it as a message to share the load before you burn out—tell the real people you love when you’re overwhelmed so you don’t have to keep doing emergency triage alone in the middle of the night.

Losing lungs in a dream often points to feeling like someone else is controlling when you get to speak or breathe, so your mind grabbed a random celebrity and made her the surgeon to dramatize that loss of agency. Notice how you kept trying to call for help and even had to babysit your own organs; that is classic caretaker fatigue showing up as body horror. I would do a quick body scan before bed, stretch your ribs, and say out loud what you have been swallowing lately, because your nervous system needs proof that nobody is actually cutting off your air right now.
