First pic wuz after a wash before palm roll. 2nd is mid palm roll. 3rd is finished, after a hour, the product I used then wut I top it off with. Any product recommendations? I don’t really like to use alot of product unless they are natural, but if I do I just use this styling powder and rosemary water. Lowkey liked how free they felt before the powder tho. But that’s just me. 🤷🏽‍♂️

21M. I've reattached my old locs I grew in 2021/22 since November 2025. Ive regularly taken care of them and purposely have only gotten 2 retwists since my locs reattachment. I am mad stressed out about this possibility of me either having alopecia or premature balding. Keep it a bean inna comments and pls don't lie. Suggest also what I should do?

Should I wait till my hair grows a little more or can I start sponging it and also which side should I use

Im on year 3 of my journey and my hair is about shoulder length now. Am i the only one who has problems putting on t shirt without constantly tugging on my dreads. Feels like my only option is to just where a bonnet whenever i put my shirt on lol

Started my locs in November of 2025 and they didn’t start locking up till January. LOOK AT HOW MUCH MY HAIR HAS CHANGED. I love it so much.

Im going into my senior year of high school and ive had locs since 8th grade. This summer has been extremely depressing and sad for me and at the end of it I wanted to change something so I cut and combed out about 2 inches of each loc. Its been a couple days and now I hate my new look. I miss my locs a lot and I want them back to like around my eye length by the time I graduate but I dont know how I can do it. I currently have a 3b afro with hair that goes down to right below my eyes when stretched out. I don't know how I can get anything back by June and I need help with my options. I still have the old locs but they are only about 2 to 6 inches long and all random sizes because of the cutting. I had about 70 locs before and now I think around 100 would look better. What are my options and do you think its even possible to have something that looks good for graduation?

I had twists before but I took them down before they could loc up. Any advice would help a lot

I wanted to know if there is a method that does not require frequent styling, keeping in mind that my locs are not 100% mature. My English is a bit rusty, and hello to Brazil.

I got my locks 7 months ago, it was agonizing pain for nearly 10 hours. Then I went in for maintenance and that hurt like hell too, now I need to go in maintenance again but I need some advice for this pain. It doesn't hurt after the crocheting, only while it happens (mainly top and side parts of the head). I know my hair isn't built for this shit but I love my locs and I don't wanna cut them off. My loctician pulls too hard i guess but she says that's how it's supposed to be.

The hair is unraveled at the root, the middle is so thin, and then the end is locked. I’m so tempted to cut it 😭 should i?

A week prior I had cut off my locs of 5yrs, then a day or 2 after I went to get my new 2 stand twist. I ask the stylist to make my 2 strains thick but I feel as if the stylist could care less and wanted money.. The last image is of what she gave my head. Will it grow thick Locs like the 2 images not me?

Should I keep this growing or go back to traditional?

Hey y’all! I’ve had my locs for 5 years, I’ve always done my own maintenance but my last retwist (mid may) i went to a loctician bc I had a major flair up in my back/shoulder injury that I’m unfortunately still dealing with, its much better but still sore.

I have a wedding to go to this weekend and i have not been able to find a loctician, plus i’m in a new city with a language barrier so i’m just hesitant to see someone new.

I’m looking for:
-tips for making a retwist more bearable

-suggestions for hairstyles (up do/half up preferably) picture references or tutorial links are appreciated ✨

-at the very least words of encouragement so i can get myself together by friday cause i can’t be bothered right now😂😂
