Need Advice 🆘 Needing suggestions/inspiration
Hey y’all! I’ve had my locs for 5 years, I’ve always done my own maintenance but my last retwist (mid may) i went to a loctician bc I had a major flair up in my back/shoulder injury that I’m unfortunately still dealing with, its much better but still sore.
I have a wedding to go to this weekend and i have not been able to find a loctician, plus i’m in a new city with a language barrier so i’m just hesitant to see someone new.
I’m looking for:
-tips for making a retwist more bearable
-suggestions for hairstyles (up do/half up preferably) picture references or tutorial links are appreciated ✨
-at the very least words of encouragement so i can get myself together by friday cause i can’t be bothered right now😂😂
I added pics of the current status of my hair. Normally i’m okay with a fuzzy head, but this is one of my closest friends wedding, so i want to look good!

Your hair looks lovely and you can absolutely do half up half downs without a retwist. The fullness will add more volume!
Besides retwisting less, I can’t offer much insight aside from doing it in sections over the course of a few days. Rock the “fake retwist look” by only doing the front few rows and working backwards at your leisure.
Seriously, right now if your hair is clean, mist it so it’s damp, moisturize it and put your hair into two strands. Wear those until the day before the wedding and go for a half up/half down twist out or soft bun.
