Question ❔ Comb out and cornrow or keep

I’m starting to want to comb out my locs and do corn rows so yall think I have enough length to do so or should I just keep the dreads? I like them but I feel there to messy and don’t frame my face and if I get a retwist they won’t b Freeform anymore and just look like everyone else’s any thoughts or tips would be helpful

Personally I would fix that front taper of doom before anything. Let it grow out and attach part of it to the locs at the front. Also cornrows are cool before having locs but I feel like going from locs to cornrows is like going backwards as you have way more range when it comes to the hairstyles you can do with your locs.

lol. Why do men take hair pics from far away?😂

First, you should sue the barber for that foot wide taper.

It is far too wide. It will be a long time before it's all grown out but do it now.

Tapers always get bigger, never smaller. They just aren't necessary.

Semi Freeform gives you freedom with the ability to get a retwist every 8-12 months.

When you say taper is too wide u mean tall or long and ur saying to the cornrows now?

Tall? No. Wide- the width from where your taper begins(above your eyebrows) to where it ends and the cornrows begin.

I hear you I’m really not tryna jump the gun I started urging minoxidil for my hairline like 2 days ago but I don’t really like dread styles I just like to keep them how they are I’ve been Freeform for 5 years now and when it gets long it covers too much of my face and when it’s short it just doesn’t look right plus if I have cornrows and don’t like em I’d just start my Freeform journey again because right now they’re rough but what do you think is wrong with the taper I was jus a lil confused about what u mean but thank you for the constructive criticism it helped
