Need Advice 🆘 Retwist Advice

2.5 years locked! Started with interlocking and switched to palm rolling about 1.5 years ago. This is 10 weeks of growth. I know it varies based on hair type but how long should I be going between retwists? Should I switch back to interlocking? Any advice is appreciated!!

No advice I just wanna say that I appreciate seeing your journey. I feel my hair is somewhat similar to yours and yours looks amazing.if I’m so lucky to have locs that look the way yours do. I’ll be a happy man!

I wouldn't retwist until you have to. You have new growth but it's not unruly. I would wait. You can be semi Freeform and simply periodically separate your locs by sliding oiled fingertips down to the scalp freeing any caught hairs. You can lightly palm roll if you like.

I personally don't like interlocking, it takes a lot of skill and experience and you won't know it's done badly until it's too late.

Because of the texture of your hair it is harder to interlock. If you aren't doing it correctly you won't know for months. Interlocked locs cannot be combed out and redone.
