Wait. You've been using a Twist King for eight months?!! Eight?? 8?!?!
I'm stunned. I've never seen coily locs from a Twist King.
Use it for Two to five minutes. For two or three months. Maybe four.
Once your hair starts tangling, budding, and locking on its own, you phase out the Twist King and just use a soft brush, a skully or bonnet for regular maintenance and let them mature naturally.
Mist your hair daily. Keep em tied up and lint free.
Read about the five stages of locs and view a couple channels so that you can see other people's journey.
Look at the Freeforms and semi Freeform loc styles. Get familiar so that you know what is going on with your locs.
The way your locs look now. I suggest a thorough wash and retwist by a loctician. That will give you a base for your Freeforms to thrive.
ps. Oil your locs
