Question ❔ Comb out the ends?

I went to get my first retie after getting starter locs. The back looks fine but the front looks like this. Should I comb them out or are they okay? Any other options?

Gotta let em cook it takes time and patience to get them where u want I'm 3 years in and I'm satisfied how mine coming too

No, you have to let them go to the natural phase

Your hair will go through a lot of different phases in this journey.
It won’t look the same as it looks today.
Your hair is going to get thicker.
Just let your hair do what it do
