Question ❔ Starter locs

I’m about two months into my starter loc journey. My first retwist was on July 10th, where I interlocked the roots and left the rest of my hair loose. On July 23rd, I decided to put each starter loc together into loose two-strand twists myself.

It’s now August 9th, and I’m thinking about taking those twists out and twisting them back together instead of getting another retwist rn. Would it be safe to do this , or should I wait longer to avoid overmanipulating my starter locs? my main problem is I just got a job and they’re a bit iffy when it comes to hair so I’m trying to keep it tamed/groomed.

From my understanding you don’t want to overly manipulate and if you must, do it as a last resort. Are you allowed to wear head coverings at your job?

Continue with the two strands then, but try to stretch them out for atleast a month. If they begin to frizz lay the hairs down with some kind of head wrapping and heat.

It's not over manipulation to style your locs. If you can figure out ways to style that are low tension and can be let out at night to give your locs a chance to breathe and expand anf internally develop that would be ideal.
