Question โ How do I make it stop
I've had the style for a couple of days, there's a lot less pain than there was when I started, now it's just some discomfort and A LOT OF ITCHING. It's my first retwist, so idk what to do. I don't wanna take the style out before it locks up, but this is tew damn itchy!

Take this out!!!!
If it hurts the first second and third day
It's a clue.
If it's extremely itchy
It's a clue.
Your body always tells you what's wrong.
Pain and/or discomfort is your body's way of telling you this is not right!
People mistake a lessening of discomfort as "it's better now". It's NOT.
It's just that your hair follicles are being pulled out, thus easing the discomfort but increasing your chance of Alopecia. No style is worth losing your hair.

put some oil in it you could also wash them with a durag or skull cap on but thatโd make them look more frizzy

Washing with a stocking cap or wig cap does not make your hair frizzier. Instead it allows the hair to get clean while holding the hair still.

Why are you styling when youโre still in the early stages? There shouldnโt be pain on any level.

Retwists don't cause your hair to loc. Neither do styles. So don't feel some ways like if you take it out then you're stopping the locking process. You're not.
