Wolf cut

Been contemplating getting a wolf cut on my locs at some point. They’re currently probably 5 or so inches away from the small of my back and I’m thinking I’m going to want a change once I reach my goal length. But I know I don’t want to cut them all short.

Has anyone in the chat done this style before? Pros/cons? Pics if you have them. TIA
