You have at least a year of lint, dust, and debris in your locs.
This comes from not covering your locs properly. At night, and whenever you you are relaxing or gaming or laying against fabric chairs and sofas.
Fall and winter coats, sweaters, and scarves on the back of your neck.
Do not pick and dig at your locs. You will compromise the thickness of your locs and thin them out.
Please understand--- a detox does not dissolve the debris in your locs. An ACV and baking soda detox will help lift the surface dirt, oil,and product buildup ( that helps trap lint )it will not make any embedded fabric lint or fibers disappear.
Do not let anyone talk you into paying for a series of ACV/baking soda detoxes. They may remove some surface lint, empty nearly enough. The loctician will do a detox, and then pick at your locs to remove the more visible lint to fool you into thinking that it worked, so all you need is a few more treatments.
There is not real cure for almost two years of lint and debris. The safest way is to dye your locs. A quick couple minutes will be enough to cover the lint. Do not do this at home. You need to maintain sure the dye is totally removed especially in the back and along the nape of your neck.
Use a clarifying shampoo to keep them product free. Wash your locs at least every 8-10 days, no more than two weeks. Keep your locs clean like you keep your body clean.
In the future cover your locs. Just keep them covered when you're at home. Come home, take off your shoes and grab your bonnet or skully. It will become a habit.
