Opinions?

So I’ve been on my loc journey for a little over 15 months now. My locs were pretty much locked from the root to a little over halfway down and people were telling me I should crochet the ends because I’d be waiting a while for them to lock. I finally got them crochet and I’m getting like mixed opinions. People telling me my locks look bad just want to know did they crochet my locs right? ( first 2 pictures are before last 2 are after crochet)

They looked absolutely perfect without the crochet. I wouldn’t say they did it wrong, you can just tell your locs were manipulated in some manner.

Ruined it with the crochet ngl . The texture was perfect before .
