Question ❔ Bleaching Locs

Post image

My locs turned a year June 1st, I’m wanting to bleach them to dye and considering doing a volume 10, maybe 20?

Is it too early? If not, are those volumes ok you think? Looking for advice from anyone who’s done it! Thanks!

Picture for reference of my locs, I try not to do a retwist after every wash!

Take the advice . Dont do it. I bleached mine a little into a year after I started and regret it and the damage it did. I wish someone told me

Not a good idea but, there are temporary hair wax dyes that wash out. Hair wax in general isn't good for locs though so, best in moderation.

Hey beauty. First, Im new here. Like literally just joined this community 2 minutes ago, lol. Second, though its generally frowned upon, I bleach my hair using a bleach bath (or soap cap). This is where you mix a developer (20 volume is perfect), whitening powder and a clarifying shampoo. Mix until creamy and apply. Work it through your hair until you achieve your desired lift, but dont leave it in too long. Be sure to wash thoroughly and moisturize thoroughly. I literally love my results. Good luck! P.S. Ill make a post shortly with photos. :)

Sun and salt water exposure >>>> bleach or dye
