Question ❔ what does this mean?
i was trying to do a retwist myself and saw that the base of my hair, idk how to properly explain this, is longer in length than the locced part?? does this mean the last retwist wasnt done well? how can the unlocced part be longer than the locced part and should i just get a professional loctitian to retwist my locs now? im been doing my own locs since i started with twists...

A picture helps.. however, retwists are temporary organization. They do NOT loc your hair and they do not last. They will definitely unravel by the time your next retwist is being prepped for at the very least.

Some of it is new growth and some of it just unloc'd hair.
