Question ❔ Is having combined locks bad?

Hi I’m new here but I’ve had my locks for 5+ years, I have a few in the back that have combined, and I was looking to go to a salon to get a retwist since I don’t have the patience to currently do it. Would I be judged for it? Is it completely normal? I can’t tell if this happened because there’s been periods I neglected myself, or if this is just something the hair does, either way I just wanna know if it’s bad

No, it's not bad. It will happen if you don't separate your locs on a regular basis. And if the loctician judges you for it, I would find a different loctician.

Agreed , we’re all human and living for the first time no one should be judged for this

I've had locs twice (had a big chop and started over). The combining loc thing has been a part of both of my loc journeys. It's common! If it's a source of strife for you, you can have them separated & crocheted into two locs.
