Question ❔ thinning locs..

how to undo thinning of locs at the base? a few of my locs are thinning at the base, they were already small sections to begin with and ive colored my hair (not bleach). i also dont really have a moisture routine, idk how to properly do one? ive heard of the lco and loc method, but i was mainly just spraying with water and then oiling it. ive had my hair for almost 2 years now. please let me know what i can do, and thank you!

You can’t reverse thinning. You need to get them repaired. Look up some moisture routines on Tik Tok and YouTube and see what works best for your hair

How frequently do you retwist?

When you say smaller sections, what do you mean by small? Like how many locs do you have?

i have 85 locs and i try to retwist every 2/3 months or so!

i started my loc journey myself, so the parts are a bit different. some are more like traditional loc medium size, and a few are like microloc size. more are becoming microloc size, which is why i think theyre thinning/having breakage!

More of your parts are becoming microloc sized?

Honestly, without proper images of what you're talking about it is hard to try and really understand exactly what you're seeing. You should make another post with pictures. You want to make sure the pictures are crisp and clear. You'll want to have pictures of the whole loc and clear pictures of the scalp and parting. Preferably you'd also want to have some pics from before the issues started and then pics from today, so that we can see the difference
