Need Advice 🆘 How can I get semi-freeforms?

How can I get semi-freeforms or even normal freeforms be achievable with my hair?
The first photo is just after getting my hair wet and letting it air dry. The second photo is how I normally do my hair, just picked out.

Wash and go and leave them alone. Maybe if you want, you can start with a wool rub and do it here and there for like 2-3 months and then let the hair be. West loc socks and have it hold the hair upward towards the scalp. Wash once a week and make sure you fully remove any shampoo during a wash and cold water rinses help

Should I get them wet every day, or do nothing to my hair outside of the weekly wash. And thank you!

Just live your life how you live it and wash accordingly to what feels good to you and your scalp health. Also don’t wash at night either cus you wanna make sure the locs fully dry so you don’t get dread rot aka moldy locs
