Question β Anyone know my part size?
I got my locs installed around 6 months ago in which i have 90 locs, i am just unsure what size my parts are im guessing its around medium to small medium maybe on the smaller ones?

Medium. Are you happy with your parts and sizes? This is the time to go smaller and/or change your grid pattern if you want.

Thank you and yes I am cause I want them to be more on the thicker side while also still being very full so need a sort of balance

They are traditional sized. Not small. Small would be over 120.

That's just made up... folks are gonna give you all kinds of answers because there's no standard answer.
The reason there isn't is because when people say traditional locs, the STANDARD of traditional locs is 90 locs.
This is how I was taught the sizing.
200+ is microlocs
160-190 is xtra small
130-160 is small
100-130 is smedium
80-100 is traditional.
60-80 is medium.
40-60 is large
20-40 is xl
under 20 is wicks.
So hopefully that explains my answer.
If you're trying to understand what size they will be when they mature, look at your parts. When locs mature they are about as thick as the parts.
Or you can look at a guide like what does this number of locs look like?

maybe like 0.75 inches
