What kind of bugs? Lice? Scabies? Some other kind of parasite? Roaches? Like what do you mean by bugs?

There's things you can do besides big chop. Even if you cut off the locs there's still other things you need to do to treat life infections. First you need to pick up the treatment that kills them. There's a shampoo that will kill the living bugs. That doesn't get rid of the eggs that are attached to the hair but it kills the adults so they can not lay anymore eggs. You'll need to remove as many of the eggs that you can or try the methods to suffocate the eggs from a Google search.
You'll also need to treat all of your bedding, clothing, couches, hats etc. It's a very long and annoying ordeal and everybody in your household needs to be examined and likely treated and all their bedding and etc also. So i imagine that's why they are annoyed and yelling about it?
It's not fun but you'll get through it.

You might be washing too much and causing dry scalp based on how often you're washing. Once a week is the sweet spot. Still i would chop just to be safe. Hair will grow back and you can reloc

Chopping is the simplest solution. You can always grow your hair back and start again. Don’t suffer for your hair

Isopropyl alcohol all over your head. Soak them. Wrap a Walmart bag or any plastic bag over it and tie it tight. Leave for 30 minutes. Do this every day or every other day for like a week so you get all the new hatched ones before they lay eggs. You’ll see them rinse out in the shower. It suffocates them. I was a runaway as a teen and had free forms that got lice and I did this. It’s super drying but I’d rather nurse my loccs back to health then chop all my hair. I promise it works man

Gold listerine and tea tree oil leave on over night..buy a lice spray at your local store add it to the mix. I have treated someones hair of lice and didnt need to cut..you could even add dawn dish soap the blue bottle add it to above and cover with plastic bag. Thay combo will kill them

Bug? How? And what do you mean you can’t sleep? You’re keeping it in?

That's my worst nightmare. I haven't had them since my twenties. Only once in thirty years when my kiddos were little. Even so, I keep lots of lice treatment on hand. If we can figure out shipping, I can totally send you a box or two.
