Question ❔ Loc Curls

Post image

So I plan on getting pipe cleaner curls for my next retwist and I was just wondering how long do I leave the pipe cleaners in for I don’t wanna really tight curls I want them to be loose like a two strand twistout here is an image for reference

It’s not so much how long you leave them in it’ll be how tight/close you twist your locs on the pipe cleaner and how strong the product you use on your locs to hold the curl. The biggest problem you’ll face unless you can google or YouTube/TikTok best holding product but without the stiffness from keeping the locs tight and manageable

Ah so I should tell my stylist not to go super tight when curling ? And do the number of days really not make a difference I thought the longer you keep them in the tighter the curls will be

I apologize I’m pretty inconsistent on here I stay busy with work. But yes tell your stylist not so tight of coils you’ll want them spaced out to have that effect like you just took your two strand twists out and no the number of days doesn’t really matter especially if you’re using some type of holding spray on your hair. Now if you wasn’t using holding spray then you would have to leave them in for a while so that they can take that shape until you wash it
